The Grove Plaza

CCDC owns The Grove Plaza. This downtown centerpiece boasts of a large water fountain, benches, trees and several public artworks. Several great dining opportunities border the plaza. We contract with the Greater Boise Auditorium District (GBAD) for the management and operation of the area. To inquire regarding availability, please call GBAD at (208)336-8900.

8th Street

CCDC owns 8th Street, including sidewalks, between Bannock and Main streets. The agency developed wider sidewalks for outdoor cafe seating and occasionally works with the business owners on the street to close portions for special events, such as the Capital City Public Market. Streetscape Amenities

CCDC participates with others in the operation and maintenance of most of downtown's streetscapes. We are directly responsible for maintaining benches, tree grates, bollards, bricks, drinking fountains and trash collection.
